PEM has launched a specific new product line with our Micro Pin Product.
We’d like to emphasize that the equipment that PEM acquired to produce this type of part is also capable of making micro-screws, tack pins, and other “smaller-than-you’re-used-to” parts.

POP PT Pull-Thru Rivets

Ideal where clearance is limited
and a flush set is required on
both sides of the application.
The POP® Pull-Thru (PT) rivet is a steel countersunk blind fastener designed
to set surface flush on both sides of an application (blind side rivet protrusion
#0.4mm/.015").
During setting, the mandrel head never breaks away from the mandrel. It remains
integral with the mandrel, while extruding completely through the rivet body and
exiting into the setting tool. This unique process provides a consistent tight radial
set within the working grip range of the rivet, improves rivet tool access and
eliminates the possibility of loose mandrel heads in the application.
This innovative fastener is widely used in the electronics industry. It also lends
itself to assembly of any product where clearance is limited and protrusion of the
rivet body from application surfaces must be either minimized or eliminated.
The mandrels of the POP® Pull-Thru rivets have been color coded for easy
differentiation on the production floor.
The POP® Pull-Thru rivets are manufactured to ISO, QS and TS requirements and are
both RoHS and DFARS compliant.

Floating Captive Screw from PEM
PEM has come out with another unique design application to assist in the production/assembly aspect. This exciting new product offering can be installed into any material hardness, even into painted material. But that isnt the greatest feature offered!

Kato is known for Coil Threaded Inserts. Specifically, helically coiled wire inserts. These are offered in two installation formats: Tanged (where the drive point is removed after insertion & the part must be inserted in correct orientation ) and TANGLESS - where the drive point is built into the threaded coil and the part is uni directional for ease of installation) Both formats are fully Mil approved. The primary use for the inserts is to install threads into aluminum blocks that can be used over and over. If you would like to see a demonstration on Helically installed threads placed into an aluminum block and a then a steel bolt installed and the head broken off with the body of the fastener being removed by finger tips and the hole/threads maintaining full functionality with no damage, please contact me.
